4. Favorite Movie: today? Alice in Wonderland

5. Favorite Song or Album: Elsewhere, Sarah McLachlan

6. Favorite Band/Artist: Band: Sarah McLachlan, with Barenaked Ladies a close second.

7. Dirty or Clean: Squeaky clean, jelly bean!

8. Tattoos and/or Piercings: 2 Tattoos (soon to be three) and 3 piercings that I use.

9. Do we know each other outside of blogland? Some yes, some no. But I have made a heck of a lot of cool friends through blogging, I have to say.

10. What’s your philosophy on life? One day at a time.

11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty? Either way, I’m still gonna have to pee every 15 minutes so really, there’s no difference.

12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest? Why would keeping it from you be better for you? I don’t think I would. Although it really would depend on the situation I guess.

13. What is your favorite memory of us? I have memories of many of my readers, but if I were to tell them, I’d have to kill you all.

14. What is your favorite guilty pleasure? Avril Lavigne *shifty eyes*

15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: Just ONE? Crap. I hate feet. I cannot look at them, they give me the willies. I will not even watch commercial that have feet in them. Ew.

16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the ‘world peace etc’ malarkey) – what are they: I like the super power idea, so I’m going to work that… I want to be able to fly/throw fire (like Firestar), I want magical powers like the Charmed Ones, I want to have a successful recording contract.

17. Can we get together and make a cake? I LOVE CAKE! So, hellz yeah! (Vanilla with butter icing, only though… I’ll also accept Pineapple Upside Down Cake. YUM!)

18. Which country is your spiritual home? WTF does that mean? My Spiritual Home?? Canada, I guess.

19. What is your big weakness? My short attention sp… oooh! look! A bird!

20. Do you think I’m a good person? I certainly know that *I* am a good person and really, that’s all that matters.

21. What was your best/favorite subject at school: Drama (favourite), English (best)

22. Describe your accent: Canadian, from Montreal.

23. If you could change anything about me, would you? You would all live closer to me, or I would live closer to you OR make someone invent teleportation. As much as I hate to socialize, I need friends around me.

24. What do you wear to sleep? Nada… unless we have a guest, then a tank top.

25. Trousers or skirts? Flannel Jammie pants

26. Cigarettes or alcohol? Neither. Although the occasional Jameson’s is ok.

27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together? KARAOKE till the cows come home!! And eat cake!

water the grass, water the dogs

Today is apparently Saturday. I get all confuzzled when I have my Fridays off. This morning was great weather, sunny, breezy and cool (16°C and then about 20°C). I had to go out and water the lawn and then decided that it was high time Annie had her bath. Hee. I am an evil woman. Annie was supposed to be bathed over a month ago, when Jinx was, but she wanted to get out bathing so badly she went and made sure she had to have surgery!

I sat out back while Annie and Jinx dried off (Jinx didn’t have a bath, per say, he just likes to jump in the water made by the hose) and thought, oooh! Perfect opportunity for photos!

Here is Annie inspecting the yard. She pointed out all the grassy parts that are dying. It was only natural that we lost some of the sod we put down, it has only been a week. No matter how much I water it, it still isn’t the same green as the original lawn (as those of you who aren’t colour blind will see). Hopefully it’ll make it through July… July tends to kill vegetation with it’s hot sun and extreme heat and lack of rain.

Once the lawn inspecting was over, Annie finally decided to lay down and dry off in the sun (which was an accident, but I’ll take what I can get!)

This is Annie looking stoned. Which she probably was because she isn’t normally out in the sun/grass/outside for as long as she was. I think she was high on UV rays.

Jinx of course, didn’t care that he was outdoors. He is more than happy to lay in whatever soggy grass he can find.

Jinx and Annie are also excellent at hiding. I’ll bet you can’t even find them in the following two photos!

Nobody here but us shiny, black, backyard appliance thingies. And Oscar the Grouch!

See? It’s like they have magical ninja powers of stealth!

And apparently it’s our wedding anniversary this weekend. Oops. Two years married we will be. And guess what? Shawn found out LAST NIGHT AT WORK that he HAS to WORK on MONDAY. (A holiday AND our anniversary). Lovely. Nothing like telling people at the last minute. One day Shawn will find a better job and leave those fucktards in the dust. I hate his company with all my being. The only saving grace is that he’ll be working nights for the foreseeable future (which sucks) but at least we’ll be able to spend most of Monday together. So much for any dinner plans though. :(

And now my father-in-law has arrived and -  THEY BROUGHT THEIR DOG – I am NOT HAPPY. Sigh. Must go…

too busy, too hot, too tired to post

it’s 40°C again, wheee!

I hate this weather. Hate, hate, hate! Why the hell did God, or whomever have to invent %$##@ humidity? Ugh.

I’d better be extra good so I don’t end up in hell and have to live with this all the time.

But the good news is that our air conditioner worked very well last night and I was able to sleep (as well as I normally do, which isn’t saying much). But I only had to get up to pee like, 6 times. So it was a decent enough night’s sleep.

In other news… I miss my husband. If he didn’t get up to drive me into work in the mornings I wouldn’t see him except when I got up to pee in the night and looked at him sleeping next to me.
