Who doesn’t love cupcakes, I ask?

some things i have noticed

On Day 5 of my 2008 and 2009 Disney trips I took the least amount of photos. 17 in 2008 and 16 in 2009. I guess by the 5th day I’m tired? What’s up with that?

In the last year I have slept away from home on three different occasions. Each of these occasions I didn’t have any night terrors like I do when I am home. I might have the occasional nightmare, but nothing like I have here. I realized this on this last trip. I didn’t sleep great because it was too loud and the bed wasn’t that comfortable, but I wasn’t waking up soaking from night sweats and I had no night terrors that made me violently ill. Something is obviously wrong with the bedroom I am sleeping in. Perhaps the colour (which is ugly, but I want to change) or the bed? I am hoping it’s just something in the bedroom and not the entire house. I am used to having possessed bathrooms NOT bedrooms!

Even though I have some really great friends sometimes I still fear that they don’t really like me and I’ll end up friendless in the end. I don’t like to lend my heart to people.

Going 10 days without my dogs is really hard on me and I don’t think I would like to do it again. I missed my puppies.

My bed is too hard for me to sleep on. Even though the bed at the hotel wasn’t great, I didn’t wake up every day with locked hips and back. I think I need to get a foam thing for my side of the bed and hope that helps.

This is how high the snow was on our back deck this evening. This is what we came home to yesterday. Shawn shovelled it out before we went over to  his parents’ place to pick up our dogs. Since the roads were a billion times better today we were able to get them. I really missed my pups, and being here last night without them was sad. They’re home now and happy we’re back. No more treadmills for them (yes, my FiL had them on the treadmill! I’ll post photos this weekend hopefully!)

home again

We came home yesterday to a snow storm that dropped about 25 cm of snow on the city. Our flight from Orlando was slightly over 2.5 hours. Our drive from the airport to home was slightly over 3.5 hours. That doesn’t seem fair. My dad’s car doesn’t even have an in-flight movie!

He’s a saint, my Dad. Stuck in traffic from 2:20 pm until 8:00 pm and then took us to dinner and to the grocery store. I ♥ my Daddy!
