so, who am i?
i am cat. i am in my early 30s. i am canadian. i do not do well in even-numbered years.
ABOUT ME
i have lived in the montreal area all my life. i have worked in bookstores for almost 9 years, until i changed jobs in april 2006. i currently work for one of the country’s largest universities as a secretary in the office of the dean of music. although i am not a fan of office work at all, the people i work for and with certainly make up for that by being some of the most fabulous people ever.

my husband and i are first-time home owners, which is a nice change from having to deal with idiotic landlords year after year. we live in our cozy home with our two finnish lapphund dogs, annie and jinx. neither of us want children so we’re content with spoiling the dogs rotten. at some point we hope to move out of the province of quebec and into canada. that would be nice. being born and raised here i am ready for a change. and english would be nice, too.

i love to sing. i love music. my dream has always been to record my own cd of all my songs. it was such a strong desire that i thought of nothing else throughout high school. i’m surprised i even graduated! i spent most of my days writing songs in notebooks or my agenda rather than pay attention to what they were teaching me. sadly, i doubt that dream will ever come true, but it’ll always be my favourite dream.
ABOUT THIS SITE
beyondelsewhere.ca was created and founded by little ol’ me back in november 2003. it was a christmas gift. i had always had a personal webpage and it’s been known as Beyond the Realm, The Faerie’s Realm and so on… but when it came time to owning my own domain i chose a combination of an old page title and my favourite sarah mclachlan song elsewhere. it seemed very ethereal to me, sort of fey-like. and i am completely obsessed with faeries so, that is how Beyond Elsewhere came about.
